Re: College Football Awards Show
brennans numbers may be the result of the system......but hes a pure passer.....who completes almost 75% of his passes......thats a qb qho makes good reads and can find an open WR
his numbers may not look as inflated.....but hes a pocket qb who can go into any system and be successful because he has a natural passing ability
teafag only has that many rushing TDs because hes essentially their FB also.......they have no running game to speak of except him
hes a bigger, white, version of michael vick
how did he turn out in the pros?? shitty passer, great runner
teafag is very similar to him
Re: College Football Awards Show
You are correct Burton2019, all QB's are system QB's, that is why they are recruited by some and not by others. People have different talents and some coaches like that and some don't that is just the way it is. And Tebow is the 2nd leading passer in the NCAA as far a passing efficiency, which is the stat used.
I am not a gator fan, obviously, but Tebow does have skills. And people wonder why everybody hates him, because he is GOOD. If you are not disliked by many, you really aren't that good.
Re: College Football Awards Show
Here is Tebow's stats from HS, don't tell me the kid can't chuck the ball around with great numbers.
2003 Sophmore - 151/233 2,194 yds 18 TD, 8 INT
2004 Junior - 247/402 4,304 yds 46 TD, 6 INT
2005 Senior - 214/338 3,324 yds 31 TD, 4 INT
Not to mention he ran for over 3,000 yards in his HS career. I don't like the kid but the numbers don't lie.
Here is a comparison of Tebow and Brennan this year.
Tebow - 217/317 (69%) 3,132 yrds, 29 TD, 6 Int: Pass Eff: 177.8
Brennan-337/472 (71%) 4,174 yrds, 38 TD, 14Int: Pass Eff: 166.3
Tebow performed better against a helluva lot better competition too so your argument BlueWahoo just isn't there.

Re: College Football Awards Show
Tebow will make a good h-back or full back at the pro level...not much else IMO.

agreed
like i said......hes a bigger, white, slower version of vick
Re: College Football Awards Show
BEST example
urban meyer coached a number one pick, who has totally destroyed my fav. pro team.
hes alex smith plus 40 pounds.
i dont think brennan is that good either, IMO, to truly be a good QB, you have to be able to play in a pro-style offense.
tebow is not even the best pure QB in his division, much less the nation.

good call on alex smith
as i said i think brennan is a better pure passer......but his numbers are certainly inflated because of the system he plays in
in order for him to truly be succesful in the hfl he will need to be in a west coast system
Re: College Football Awards Show
i really havent watched brennan play more than once, i saw him get knocked out, then watched washington [censored] up.
guys, if tebow is so good, what about jake locker in washington?
quicker, bigger arm.
Re: College Football Awards Show
i forgot about locker......good point
